Ran into a hitch this afternoon. On the inboard bearing, the directions say to install the inboard cone in the hub (the cup is already in there to receive it) and then install the seal retainer (which looks a lot like a metal cookie cutter in the shape of a circle) in the hub until the outer flange contacts the hub. No way is this going to happen. The height of the seal retainer is about a quarter inch more than the space left in the hub after the cup is fully seated. In short, the seal retainer is about a quarter inch hanging out of the hub when I get it in as far as it goes. These instructions are terrible....don't even mention the washers. Can anyone tell me what the heck is up here with this seal retainer? Seems like the way I read it the seal retainer should go all the way into the hub and the flange go over the outer lip of the inboard side of the hub. Could use a quick hand if anyone knows. Dave
