I went into the dealers this week to pick up a valve cover gasket and they had a 1066 Turbo setting there so I climbed all over it, then asked the question..$8900..what's the absolute bottom price?...$7000 if they don't have to truck it etc. Well the tractor has decent rubber all around, the rear rims are rusty but I think would paint up,tractor is mechanically good according to "them" but the cab is another issue. It is rusted at the bottom corners and inside is about as rough as a cab could come. I know it can be redone but I wonder at what cost? I would hate to offer them $5000 in case they took it and then as the great Mark Twain said "you'd have to do it cause you said so" I thought it would be a good unit for blowing snow and maybe some plowing at some point. What is a nice clean 1066 going for these days? I have a feeling that if I bought this unit I would have the price of a good one in it and more befor I knew what was happening. I guess it raises the issue about big horsepower tractors once they are old and obsolete..who wants them , what are they usefull for ...Mike in Exeter Ontario

Flax provided the fibre which w
