I have used a magnetic block heater on the side of the diff. to warm the oil and drive out the H2O. Seems like one day out of every six months. In humid condensing climates, may be more.
Spark plug type copper gaskets will seal up the bolt holes,
And a boot from a CV joint, clamped only at the top, works on the shifter (till you show the tractor at the fair).
