Actually the main hood decals are significantly different. Early A"s would have had a hood decal with "McCORMICK-DEERING FARMALL" and no IH emblem. Later one"s (I want to say around 1945?) would have had the same decal but with the IH emblem on it. Also the font on these decals would be a bit smaller. No A"s would have ever had "McCormick Farmall" as the post-1949 tractors did. HTH Al
