I have several wedges on shelf and wondered myself what was the advantage of them and what was correct direction for installation. I was told they are made to make tractor steer better. One of my M's I purchased has bolester angled forward, another back. I mess with Harley's and have always experianced the more the forword rack, the harder it is to steer. I would think that the little bit of negative rack would make steering easier when moving. Just my opinion, I would also like to no the truth.
