I've used a similar method for a stuck clutch on my M. I started the engine with the transmission in 5th gear. (Making sure that I had plenty of room ahead.) Once it started, I pushed in the clutch pedal and tapped the brakes repeatedly. After about 30 seconds the clutch popped loose. Dale
