Assuming you are describing a quick connect coupler, and not the cylinder or valve.
The quick connect probably has dirt in it from coupling with dirt on the male fitting. It May be possible to couple and uncouple several times and eliminate the leak. But, often, the seal may be damaged and need to be replaced. a good hudraulic shop may assist if the parts are common. If they are IH production the dealer may have them in stock.
