Everyone has brought up some very good suggestions.One thing I might add ,is that as you know, the counterbore that holds the seal is quite deep and that you can position that seal anywhere on your PTO shaft that has a minimal amount of wear on it to get the most benifit from your new seal. As some of the guys suggested put a small amount of grease on the lip of your new seal.
