I aggre with the stuck starter and needle valve opinion But I wouldn't loosen the starter and try to crank it. That could be a real problem should the starter gears bind. The drive end could be completely destroyed. (don't ask) simply loosen the starter bolts several turns past where the lock washers relax the get ahold of the end and shake the livin tar out of it you should feel the hung gear release. the run the bolts up tight and crank. Then go to TSC and get a overhoul kit and fix the carb. Back in fine shape in under 2 hours. Not counting the drive to town. Herb
