340 hydraulics and steering

I bought a 340 utility with a loader which had some problems with the steering but gets around preety good if not pressured too bad. The arms off the steering box had been broken and welded. I got replacements to see if that will help. I am waiting on a shop manual but understand that there are other adjustments which can be made to help. Also the loader worked fine when I tried it out MT but loaded it wont lift a full bucket, found the trans fluid milky, I suppose from water. how do I get it ALL outand keep it out? Could it be weak pump or piston? Hlnts would be real helpful. thanks, ray
