You may have to put pressure in the fuel tank to the to push fuel into the system. Around 5 to 7 pounds or less should do it, unless you have a blocked fuel filter or dirt in the fuel line. Make sure you crack each of the lines bleeding the air out of them as well while you putting presure to the tank to get air out of the system. Hope this helps you only my 3 cents but I've had to do this on a 340D an a few semi trucks an my ford pickup even though all had fuel pumps.
