I've run out of cuss words and penetrating oil and still can't get the hubs off! I put the end of axle bolt back in and chained bottle jacks to each hub and am pushing against the boltheads with as much force as I can get on the jack handles. I've been heating the hubs with a couple hand held propane torches several times over the last week and spraying penetrating oil every day. I spent a half hour heating one hub tonight with both torches and got it smoking good but still no luck. Is there any chance of a shear key holding on the hub somehow? I can't find any sign of one. I took off the heavy round plate that was bolted to the end of the axles, that overlaped the hub lugs and figured as heavy as it was that it was the only thing holding the hubs on the axles. Is there anything different I should be trying? Or is heating and soaking in oil the only way to get the hubs off? I'm wondering if maybe I should just live with the axle seals leaking oil.
