Assuming your '39H has the same type of belly pump setup that was in later models, you should have three pressure ports coming out of it; one on the right, and two on the left. The rear port on the left is for rear-mounted implements such as the rear gang of mounted cultivators. This rear port (in most cases) operates in a "delay" mode, allowing the front cultivators to be lifted, and then raising the rear unit at approximately the same location when moving in 3rd or 4th gear. Pulling the lift rod up and holding it will actuate the front ports, and once the oil quits flowing to them, the rear port is live. Pushing the rod down half-way releases the rear cylinder, and pushing it down all the way releases the pressure on the front ports.

I have a loader on the front of a '49M, and have installed ball-type shut off valves in the lines to the loader. By raising the loader to a convenient height and shutting them off, the rear port becomes active to operate the 3pt hitch. It's not fancy, but it was cheap and effective.

It would also be possible to run your lines for the loader through a multi-spool hydraulic valve and control things independently.
