My friend I buy hay from as an International 706 with non-working lights. He’s in a bit of a bind because he needs the tractor for a hayride Saturday night. He said the lights quit – for good -- when he stepped on the clutch. This made me suspect wiring near the clutch linkage, but by the time he told me about the problem last night it was too dark to see anything and too late to hang around. I did feel some wires on the clutch pedal side, where the left fender meets the axle housing. Questions: 1 – Would it be fairly common for the clutch pedal/linkage on a 706 to chew up the wires? 2 – Are there any fuses in the lighting circuit for a 706? If so, where are they located? (Sadly, working without a manual on short notice here!) Thanks in advance. If time gets too short, I’ll go over Saturday and wire the lights with a temporary switch directly from the battery. That should get him through Saturday night, anyway. Mark W. in MI
