Eric: Your lockout reminds me of my wife, went out for the mail one winter day, discovered she had locked herself out. Had the dog with so going to my mother's or her mother's was not an option as they both lived in no pets seniors appartments. An elderly senior and his wife (neighbors) invited her in for the day along with dog (Willie). Upon entering Willie boldly jumped up on the chesterfield. My wife was mortified, and scolded Willie quite harshly. "Oh", says the old gent." Willie is just fine, that is where he always lies when over here visiting with us." We had known for sometime Willie had a secret hangout. He would go missing and trying to find him, was impossible, may as well forget it.
