Thanks alot guys! This award go"s to the top male and top female in the Chatham-Kent 4-H Program, every county has the same kind of thing. This is an award that go"s to 2 outstanding members of 4-H, The nominating committee looks at your records, to see what you have volunteered in, what positions you have held in the clubs, and many other 4-H related things, as well as comunity stuff, like the western ontario steam threshers asso. and east kent vintage equipment club i belong to. the award usually go"s to a person in grade 12. I was supprised when i got the call that i had won it. I also had to wright a speech about my 4-H career, and what it means to me, I put in my speech that "4-H Is also About convincing the JD Guys How much better INTERNATIONAL TRACTORS ARE! Cause we have had alot of after meeting disscussion about the red green war. All the farmers at the banquet with jd tractors came up to me and said what is up with that!LOL. Thats the first time i said a speech, and it was infront of almost 1000 people. And yes hugh i was interviewed for the noon farm report on cfco. I Got a glass award, a certificate from the mayor, and a local MP, also from the radio staion who gave me a Scholarship. After the deal was done people came to congratulate me, and a guy came up to dad, he said " I heard you guys are collecting Ih" Dad said ya we are, he said Well, i got an old Ih truck that i got, i ain"t getting around to, cause i"m gettin older, so if your interested come see me, and we can make a deal. I"m not sure what model it is, i"m pretty sure a pickup. It"s the second truck of that particular model to roll off the line in chatham ontario at Navistar, So i"m pretty excited about that!
