This fall I blew up my PTO shaft baling, i haven't taken it apart yet to see what broke but what i'am trying too find out if there is a sort of live pto (shift on the go) that can be put in to the tractor. I got a IT manual and in it, it shows a independent pto unit with reactor bands off anouther tractor (4,6,w6,or md ?) I got a picture of a MD in a book and it says it has a "live pto". Has any body out there tied too put a independent pto into a 48H or has done this, any info is much appreciated, Thanx Guys.
