Chuck, Been reading your communication on this forum regarding your I-2405B and I have the same tractor. Apparently the Industrial portion of the IH company was sold to Dresser/Kumatso America. I too was not able to ID my tractor engine by it's model serial number. I have a loader (no numbers)but no backhoe attachment. Would love to get my hands on one for it though. I am in need of an engine rebuild as the blow-by is spewing oil when I put the PTO under pressure big time. I must ID this engine before I can go ahead and order my rebuild parts. Had a small problem when the loader sprung a leak but was just a seal in the control box and a piece of cake to fix. Loader is up and running again. I really like this tractor for it's ease of use, even for me. I'm trying to use this tractor with a case round baler and except for the engine problem I think it will work great. It is rather low to the ground but a skid plate was added to the lower body so that hay would not get caught and drag on the under carriage. Although this Industrial tractor was never intended to be used in an agricultural enviroment, it is possible. Have you finished your tune-up on this tractor and were you able to ID your engine for your I-2405B tractor? Thanks, CCS in NY

Experimentation, from the most complex assembly to the most simple and mundane component, is as an integral a part of any farm tractor's development
