I don't remember how the keyway fits together on the M, however I've had good luck using JB weld to repair loose keyways on crankshafts (tapered shaft on flywheel of chainsaw), mower shafts on garden tractor, and other places where there is a sleeve or hub that goes over the key and can be secured. The chainsaw had a 36 inch bar and chain driven from the flywheel clutch. I cut many cords of wood with no problems. Clean teh loose area very well with lacquor thinner or such. put in the key and pack the epoxy around the key. Clean the part that goes over it and put a very light coating of oil on the part (so you can get it apart easily at a later time. Slide on the part and clean up the excess epoxy. If there is a clamp or nut to secure it, put it on and tighten it per specs. Leave it overnight. Should work, and if it doesn't, it won't cost you much and you can go to plan b.
