That's pretty much normal for the alternator you are using. I've tried to solve it using different size indicator lamps, diodes, etc. But the only solution I've found that works is to spin the alternator faster - i.e. install the smallest pulley you can find on the alternator.

Keep in mind there is absolutely NO danger of spinning the alternator TOO fast on your tractor! Fully wound up your tractor's engine is turning only a little faster than "fast idle" RPM's for the vehicles the alternator was originally designed for...
