My Dad moved his repair business from a "small town" to the "big city" back in the 60's, a distance of about 40 some miles.
He had many faithful old customers that drove their tractors 40 - 60 miles to have work done. Nobody thought of using a trailer. If you had a tractor that wasn't running...you towed it.

As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor. My Papaw had a 1954 IH Super A that he bought to replace a Cub.
