If it was me i would have never bought a used one even for a core because when ya pull your out ya got the core and if ya don't know what it came out of and ya did not get the gear with it it is useless . As far as rebuilding one myself it is not worthe my time when ya get a rebuilt one with the gear and If you do it correctly it has waranty if you screw it up then it does not . And i think yyou will find that buying the parts that are needed it will cost ya more and ya don't have the tooling to do it.
