When all else fails...get mad. Went out to the barn with the idea of taking off the whole unit and took a close look and noticed a seam where it connects to the main unit and block. Tapped a bit on it and low and behold...the OTHER half of the pump!!! Got it off to reveal the inner drive gear the shaft, nut and washer. Took it inside and got it apart. Looks like two machined grooves inside the shaft housing and one the farther groove is empty, the inner groove looks like it has a rubber? seal in it. Slight wear on the shaft itself but not too bad where it came in contact with the seal, so just wondering, if a new seal will do it, or a speedy sleeve...and if the sleeve, does the shaft housing need to be bored out??? Damn...what a trip..but you guys have really come through and my stubborness has helped a bit.
