Make sure the points and entire mag is dry. Use a heat gun or hair dryer. Make sure the points are set, as stated earlier and that they are not oxidized. Use a point file or a fine emery board to burnish them. Time the mag to #1 TDC by rotating the mag body outward until the advance JUST SNAPS. More detail can be found in the Tune-up Guide link on the left side of the board.
