Like i tol you before the rotor has to be pointed at the tower when it impulses. It must not be there that is why it will start when pulling as then the engine is turning faster than when using the starter cause when using the starter it is impulsing and the rotor must not be lined up with the tower. When the engine starts the timing with a mag goes to 33 or so degrees but to start it must fire on impulse whit the starter.
