Can anyone tell me exactly where the problem is when the governor linkage freezes up on Farmalls like an M or my 450. I've had this same problem with my Farmall M, the M that the road association owned and my 450 so it's obviously a common problem. I'm assuming it's condensation, perhaps in the crankcase, that puts moisture in the governor linkage somewhere. The problem only shows up when temperatures drop below freezing. I've put some fiberglass insulation in front of the governor so the fan won't blow cold air on the governor and once the engine warms up the problem goes away. I cleaned everything up when I overhauled the engine a few years ago but it's still there. Anyone else had such a problem and know what causes it and a solution. B'duckie
