John, as El Toro said..the fuel coming from the tank through the fuel bowl is not pressurized but is coming "gravity fed" at that point in the system, it is not untill the fuel reaches the pump does the system become under pressure...so shut the fuel flow off, remove the bowl and clean it, put it back on loosely and turn the fuel back on, this will allow the bowl to fill, when the bowl is "running over' tighten it the rest of the way. When you have the bowl off check the screen as well...interestingly My B250 had a bad screen and TSC had screens for 8N fords which were identical to the one on the B250, don't know if someone changed the outlet and bowl but it fit fine and works fine, you shouldn't have any problem but I have learned to keep a piece of cork board around so I can cut out a new gasket for the fuel bowls on my tractors, I also have some rubber gaskets, but cork seems to be more forgiving if you don't get it in place exactly to a tee....good luck...Mike in Exeter Ontario
