It's 9/16ths or so if I remember right. I had my brother, who works in a macine shop, make a tool for me. He machined a square end on a cap screw(allen head). It works good as it's real hard and an allen wrench gives quite a bit of flexability in reach and position of handle. DON'T use a 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar! It will mar the head of the plug and you will see it forever. Several other plugs on your tractor are this same size. Make a good tool before you cause any damage and you'll always be happy you did.
