Smack the carb with a big rock enough times, and you'll scare it into working right... I kid you not. When I got my H, the original needle leaked like a sieve. No hope of recycling that one. Got a new all-brass needle from the local CIH dealer, put it in, ran good. A couple months down the road, it started sticking at odd times, until finally it would only run about a minute. Dad got fed up, took a big rock, and gave the carb a good tap. Ran good, but the needle stuck the next time we started it up. Another tap with a big rock, and it was good. Last time I ran it, he was standing there with the rock, we counted to 60, and... didn't miss a beat :) Hasn't died from a stuck needle since.
