3pt jerky when raising

on my ih 454 the rear lift is jerky when i try to raise it.what would cause this. the pump also runs the power steering and thats working fine.
this problem with the rear lift started about 3 months ago and is not always present. some times I would start the tractor in the morning and it woild operate fine. then the next day it would be jerky for about the first 10 minutes. then it woild work fine.but now its jerky and wont lift any weight also the auxillary valves wont operate either.
