About the time I graduated high school and started college--that would be around 1972-"73--my dad either bought or traded for a 240 utility. It was a fine little tractor for what it was...power comparable to a Super C, not quite as much as an H...and the live PTO was a pretty fine feature, as well as the hydraulics. But ours had the "industrial" 3-point hitch, in which the arms were made in a fixed triangle...there was no lateral, independent movement of the arms, and it made it a b*tch to hook up the SideWinder 5x5 rotary mower Dad used in his custom mowing business. After a couple of years, Dad got tired of fighting that industrial hitch, cleaned and painted the tractor, and sold it with a brand NEW SideWinder behind it. But other than the hitch, it was a fine little tractor...within the scope of what it was designed to do.
