I"m having almost identical problems except I think I know less than you did when you posted. I have some of the same numbers on what I think is a 404 but a response to my posting tells me the number off my engine is wrong so maybe someone replaced the original. I"m in the same boat. Just want to get this project going but can"t figure out which parts to buy. I need a battery, but what kind, 12 volt or 6 volt system? The tires I figured on my own.
