I'm in the middle of restoring this SA and am putting it back together. Rebuilt just about everything including the touch control block. I went out to the shop this morning and saw hydraulic fluid on the floor dripping from the touch control block, cleaned it all up and off the tractor too so I could see where its leaking from. Seems, or so I thought it's coming from the filter flange, that long screen held in with 4 bolts. After cleaning it up and wipeing it with my finger to check for fluid, I found it's coming from the fill plug. So I tightened it up real good and left for the day. When I came back, it's leaking from the fill plug again. Can't tighten that N.P.T. plug anymore and the fluid is well below the threads on the block. If I leave the plug out, it doesn't leak. I didn't know hyd. fluid could climb! Any ideas out there? Teflon tape?, Pipe dope? scott#2
