The control lever on the reservoir only gives you one-way control. It works just like the belly pumps, except that it maintains hydraulic pressure when you press the clutch pedal. There are two pressure outlets on the rear of the reservoir. They come out of the casting that protrudes from the tank. All other plugs that are in the tank directly are return lines, except the pressure line from the pump to the tank. I believe the top outlet is the main outlet, while the bottom one is the delayed outlet. Unless you're running a set of mounted cultivators, the bottom outlet isn't used. Run a hose from the top pressure outlet to the "IN" port on an OPEN CENTER hydraulic spool valve. Run a hose from the "OUT" port of the valve to one of the plugs in the side of the reservoir. Run a hose from each of the work ports on the spool valve to a standard pioneer hydraulic quick-coupler at the rear of the tractor. It is important that the valve is open center, or you run the risk of blowing one of the components in your hydraulic system sky-high from pressure buildup.
