I understand parents giving there kids "what for" for losing mits and coming in with snow. But I have to think what kind of health the next generation will have at our age.
Life is geting so sterile and "safe". When I think of how we played as kids I wonder what my parents were thinking. But then... Maybe they knew it was "healthy".
There's an old saying that every kid needs to eat a bushel of dirt in his lifetime. I think that's natures way of establishing your immune system... And afterall with the condition of the snow, eating a bushel of dirt may be easier today!
