If you used a 50/50 mix of antifreeze it should have circulated throughout the engine, if any water was left in the engine it should've mixed in with the antifreeze mixture.

Did you mix the 50/50 antifreeze and water together before adding to radiator? Hal
PS: I agree with the other postings on checking your for coolant above your pistons or a jammed starter.
