Kind of hard to tell what you are asking but if it is what is a slot top? The 1939 & early 1940 H's & M's had a different seat arrangement which was incorporated into the top of the transmission, or operators platform. The seat post was a channel shape that fit in a slot in the middle of the top of the transmission case, or operators platform. This seat was discontinued and replaced with the tube type support seat and flat top transmission cover.
