re-coreing a Farmall A radiator

Has anyone ever re-cored a farmall A radiator? Our 1940 A has a bad radiator every used one I find is bad or looks like a hunk of junk. I see you can by new for $295.00 but then again just how good are they?
Should I just take and have a shop put a new core on my top and bottom tank? Has anyone ever done this and what kind of a price am I looking at?
