350U steering shaft

I am in the process of rebuilding a 350U and the splines on the steering shaft, or the cam tube, are messed up. It was jury rigged with a keyed steering wheel and am trying to get it back to the original. I was wondering if the steering wheel splines are the same as other International or Farmall tractors? If so what models? What I was going to do is cut a section off of a donor shaft and weld it in place of the worn. Thanks for your help.
