You will need a head gasket for a 123 cid motor due to the increased diameter of the 3 1/8 pistons. The problem that I ran into was the only headgaskets made for a 123 cid assumed that you have a water pump so all of the water ports are much smaller than those for the 113 cid. The ports are all in the same location, just smaller. The trick to enlarging the holes is to do it neatly without tearing up the head gasket. Check the archives as this was discussed a couple of weeks ago.
