Vinegar?

A page or two back somebody said to use vinegar for unsticking a stuck engine. Does anyone have any experience with this to share?
How about a list of "good stuff" for unsticking. I am lessee, six months into unsticking my '28 Regular. That isn't to say I've checked it, I just filled it with used motor oil six months ago.
Then in october I replaced the motor oil with MMO, one cylinder had managed to fill with water, but it wasn't tarped yet, it is now so it shouldn't have a repeat of that.
Hmmm, I get two floating holidays this year, maybe I need to take a ride up north and check on my beast.....
