I think the distance was between 4 1/2 and 5 inches between them. Would measure it but have it loaned out. I built it at the time for engine I was working on. All material I used was what I had on hand except biscuit and all thread. You can use black iron pipe for up-rights, 1 1/2 square tubing was 0.156 wall thickness.
