Can any one tell me who made the distibutor on the M ? Was it a prestolite or an autolite ? I went to check on the pertronix ignition at Carquest and was asked which one it was so I came home and looked but couldn't figure it out . I looked in the parts book and that didn't help either . Supermpuller posted on the 28th that part # 1442 was for a SM . Are they the same ? A super m was 12 volt from the factory wasn't it ? If so , that part # will fit a 12 volt m regardless of the distributor ? The guy at this farm country Carquest didn't even know what an M was much less who made it and the guy was around 60 ! The price told me was 72 and change without tax .Thanks for any more info on this .......Randy
