I built a hydraulic system on my "A" for raising/lowering a Woods L59 belly mower. I built a resevoir tank from steel plate and mounted the hydraulic pump on top of it and mounted the whole thing in the void space under the seat and behind the axle housing. This allowed me to run the pump off from the belt pulley shaft by bolting a plate to the side of the pulley that runs the mower and welding a shaft to it. I the used a lovejoy coupler to connect to the hydraulic pump. (Might sound complicated but once you start holding stuff in place it seams to all come together.) I used a simple 2 way valve. Mounted a cylinder to the raised cultivator mounting pad on the side bell housing/torque tube. The system worked excellent except it wasn't "live". The mower had to be turning in order to raise/lower it. I hope this helps. Let me know if I can answer any questions about my system. Good Luck.
