This works good for the front. Just take 2 lenths of angle iron, cut 2 or 3 inches off the bottom. Weld that into a square at the bottom. Cut the right size square for the bottom plate. Drill 3/4 inch hole in the center. Weld a 3/4 inch nut over the hole. Thread 3/4 rod into that/ with a 3/4 inch nut welded to the bottom of the rod. Makes it adjustable. Use a 5 ton jack on the rear to split. I also used 3/4 rod to keep the halfs aligned to do clutch.
 


I tried the cherry picker on the front and that turns into a mess. It will pivot on the wheels and get out of alighnment.
