They should allow you to carry over vacation, but that's the way the US government is now. You can build your leave up to 30 days. Once you have 30 days accumlated the balance has to be used. When I started you could build it to 90 days and if you had this amount accumlated when the new system became effective you could keep it at that level. If you used any of that 90 days you couldn't rebuild it back to 90 days. I think I had 80 some days when I was thinking of retiring and I had 3000 hours of sick leave. They don't pay for the sick leave so I found a way to take it and I was on sick leave for 18 months and then retired. The best vacaion I ever had. Hal
