You need to contact the MagMan that post's on here, I haven't seen him on here lately. He repairs mags and probably knows what changes to do on your mag. Are you getting any fire from the mag? Hold the coil wire within 1/4" of a good ground and then crank over the engine. You may need to clean and adjust the points to .013". Wipe the points with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to remove any crud. If there's no fire you may need new points & condenser. Then try the same procedure. Still no fire make sure your grounding switch isn't in the off position. This is what kills your engine when you shut it down. You had better check this first. After new points & condenser and you still don't have any fire it could be a weak coil. Should be a nice hot spark. You can pull the cap off the coil and use a flatblade screwdriver to see if those magnets are weak. If they're ok it should grab that screwdriver quickly. The magnets create the spark when they pass by the coil. That's why they need to be strong. I have an old Wico mag that has weak magnets and it has a faint spark when I hold the coil wire. Hal
