Well Sonny i have been twisten wrench for a lot of years and i know how to toqure a bolt and i have had my fifteen min of fame over the years and i know what works and what does not as far as waisten my money on super farm stock or even the antique hot farm anymore for the braggen wright at the coffee shop or on the drag strip them days are long over with and just because you think that this gives you more or less knolage then i have when it comes to a working tractor and what breaks and what does not you need to spend more time working on them . and when dear old Jerry designed the 1066 if he felt that the bolts would hold then they sure would have kept running them but since the 56 seires they started having problems with the tractors over the 100 Hp. range and needed to do something before someone got hurt . Now like i said i have broken the ones on my 806 and my buddy has broken them on his 886 now this is fact as a bolt will only hold somuch now if they did not break then why does the I H dealer stock them . If it is a part that does not sell then they don't stock it but they ALWAY HAVE THEM ON HAND SO THEY DO BREAK . As far as you input well maybe since it is a special made shaft well then just maybe that the shaft is defective or maybe you did not get it installed correcly . When i was playen the lets go fast thing beleive me i made my share of spair parts. Ever see what happens when a Shiffer dual dic come unglued at 8 grand Not pretty it even came thru the scatter sheild cut the steering shaft removed the master cylinder broke the back of the block ya it almost killed me . So it is like this i spent 19 years working on I H tractors and i give my knolage to guys FOR FREE and it is GOOD SOUND ADVICE and if you are running the cast wheels in the super farm class that is a hand gernad with the pin ready to fall out and i realy don't want to even be at a pull that you are pullen in .
