Likes to Farm, I have my dad's old #10 and it seems to me he when he planted white beans with it he blocked off the runs with the metal plates to get his widths for each row, dumped the bean seed in and went. If seed is dry especially soys I would think they would run through very easily. I can't tell you the settings because those drills had them glued to the underside of the seed box lid and over the years they faded and wore off, but many a bean was planted with a #10 drill. I used mine for sowing wheat last about 10 years ago but every once in a while I take the crank and turn the seed and fetilizer drives over a few times and squirt some oil on them so they don't sieze up. My old drill will sow again, I'm thinking of some feed oats for the feed and the straw...good luck with your soys...Mike in Exeter Ontario
