With the pulley under strain, and hot as a firecracker Cool down the crank snout with cool water (this may require a socket like tool with a hole in it to get the water in. The last one I removed was with a 60 ton press with the crank out of the engine. Be sure to push on the snout with your rig. if not you are trying to lifting yourself with your boot straps, (I know you know this)
